REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 2/2/26-7/31/26. Must agree to 36 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 2 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 60 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: planting trees; apple tree care and maintenance such as blossom removal, thinning, train, attaching, tying, prune, trim, stake, root sprout removal, and trunk painting; general orchard and field maintenance such as picking up garbage, roots and rocks, removing old string and wire from trellis and orchard blocks, trimming brush and tree limbs, assist with cutting and removing trees with a chainsaw, piling brush, weeding, hoeing, and painting posts; trellis system repair and maintenance; hand harvest apples to quality standards; sorting; small tractor driving within the field; utilizing motorized platforms, moving 12-foot orchard ladder weighing up to 60 pounds; moving harvest bins into rows manually; clean and sanitize harvest tools, equipment and containers; general repairs of wooden bins and pallets; barn painting; applying pheromones, fertilizer manually; deer fence maintenance and repair, foil and netting laying; irrigation maintenance and repair; rodent guards installation; general landscaping maintenance on farm premises. Pay will be hourly.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
