JEFFERSON COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DEPARTMENT
DIRECTOR OF SANITARY ENGINEERING
The Jefferson County Commissioners will be accepting applications for a full time unclassified salaried position for the Jefferson County Water and Sewer Department for the Director of Sanitary Engineering position.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred and the applicant should have a least five(5)years experience in water and wastewater treatment, collection, and distribution; should also be knowledgeable of EPA laws/regulations; water and wastewater treatment plant operations; water distribution system/components; wastewater collection system and components.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the ability to monitor all phases of the Jefferson County Water and Sewer District’s systems operation; coordinate state/federal actions with the system; plan and coordinate permanent/capital improvements with consulting services; prepare and monitors annual budgets; supervise all District Personnel including union and non-union employees.
The position of Director of Sanitary Engineering serves at the pleasure of the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners.
