CAS is currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a part-time temporary position. This role will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, with flexible remote work arrangements.

This senior-level position is designed for an experienced data scientist who will provide specialized expertise on cutting-edge AI projects while mentoring junior team members. The role focuses on project-based deliverables in generative AI, content curation, and patent search technologies.

Duties

Project Leadership & Execution:


Lead and execute specialized projects in generative AI model evaluation, AI-driven content curation systems, and evolution of AI patent search solutions
Develop and implement advanced AI/ML models for scientific content analysis and patent intelligence
Evaluate and optimize generative AI models for accuracy, relevance, and business impact
Drive innovation in AI patent search methodologies and user experience enhancements

Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer:


Coach, guide, and mentor data scientists on advanced AI/ML techniques and best practices
Provide technical leadership and knowledge sharing on generative AI applications
Conduct training sessions on cutting-edge AI methodologies and tools
Foster a collaborative learning environment within project teams

Technical Delivery:


Create technical reports, recommendations, and presentations describing AI model performance and recommendations to inform decision making for various audiences including senior executives
Synthesize complex AI research findings into actionable business insights
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing CAS platforms
