Schedule: M-F, normal business hours with some flexibility

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Customer Service Specialist. This role plays an important part in ensuring order accuracy, responsive communication, and seamless coordination across departments to support customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Position Summary:
- The Customer Service Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and manages the full order lifecycle — from entry through fulfillment and invoicing.
- This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively across Production, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, and Shipping in a fast-paced Agriculture MFG environment.
- Success in this position is defined by accuracy, responsiveness, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate and resolve issues in a way that supports both our customers and our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for customer accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely order entry aligned with customer requirements.
- Monitor order patterns and proactively clarify discrepancies.
- Prepare and coordinate orders with Production, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Shipping & Receiving, and Logistics to support on-time fulfillment.
- Communicate potential delivery or production risks promptly and professionally.
- Manage invoicing, returns, lot tracking, and required documentation.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns efficiently and thoughtfully.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support inventory accuracy and internal coordination efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience in a business-to-business environment.
- A customer-first mindset empathic listener with strong written communication self-directed skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting production schedules and customer needs.
- Strong math, writing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in agriculture, animal feed, or manufacturing industries is a plus.
