Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to produce precise sheet metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and quality inspection to ensure products meet strict specifications. The Press Brake Operator plays a vital part in delivering high-quality parts efficiently and safely within a fast-paced production environment.

Duties

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and specifications
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
  • Adjust machine parameters to achieve desired angles, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished parts to verify conformance with specifications
  • Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, welding, and assembly
  • Use hand tools, tooling, cranes, and other equipment safely during setup and operation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, stamping presses, electrical discharge machining, plasma cutting, and other machining processes is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (GD&T knowledge is a plus)
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and other quality inspection tools
  • Basic math skills required for measurements and calculations during setup and quality checks
  • Experience with tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and sheet metal work necessary for accurate production runs
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to machinery operation including crane handling and hand tool usage
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
