GENERAL SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to manage all maintenance functions for the mill and direct the efforts of the assigned maintenance employees & supervision to meet overall department and mill objectives for safety, productivity, quality, and cost.

PREREQUISITES

Education: Lubrication and vibration training.

Bachelor's degree - Preferred

Work Experience: Five (5) years' experience in Industrial Reliability

Skills: Leadership - Must manage with unquestionable integrity, projecting a positive and professional image within PCA and the local community.



Interpersonal - Must establish an informal network of supportive relationships across the organization; facilitate high involvement employee meeting.



Communication - Able to effectively communicate company and department objectives to management, peers subordinates; ability to clearly communicate ideas and proposals verbally and in writing throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Oversee reliability supervisor & hourly reliability personnel activities.
Manage/support continuous improvement efforts within maintenance department. Reliability routes, basic care, etc.
Keep the Reliability & Maintenance Manager(s) informed of current & long-range personnel concerns.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records & information on all machinery, equipment & buildings. Utilize shared maintenance equipment folders and Trident for record storage.
Assist in preparing cost estimate for work orders, capital jobs & in the preparation of the annual departmental operating & capital budgets as needed.
Coordinate activities with outside contractors working in the area.
Directs assigned operations to meet budgeted goals while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, environmental and Labor Agreement guidelines.
Identifies problem areas, develops action plans and assists teams of empowered subordinates in problem solving and process improvement efforts.
Leads departments' efforts in safety areas such as lockout/tagout, vessel entry, personal protective equipment use, eye protections and fire prevention and protection.
Communicates with other departments, as necessary to promote smooth and efficient operations throughout the mill.
Promotes positive labor relations through proper interpretation and consistent application of the Labor Agreement.
Coordinate training efforts in departments to ensure qualified operations in all positions.



COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS


Starting salary range for position: $108,500 to $201,500 annually.
Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
