Job Description
Principal Engineer. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Akron, OH. Responsible for technical leadership of engineering projects for industrialization of New Latin America consumer and commercial products in LAT plants. Driving resolution of technical issues, coaching project teams and associates, leading review of project / iteration strategies, and driving product improvement. Be gatekeeper ensuring projects adhere to Goodyear technical standards.
Requires: BS degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related. Need 7 years of experience as an analyst or in a related role supporting technical product development and industrialization. 3 years of experience with Radial Medium Truck Product Development including Regional, Urban and/or Mixed Service Product Segments. 3 years of tire manufacturing and quality experience including new product industrialization and Commercial tires. 2 years of experience with technical coaching and mentorship. 2 years of experience in two of the following: Product Development, Product Evaluation, Quality, Manufacturing, Global Engineering, Technology Development. 2 years of experience working in a region outside the U.S., with a successful track record of delivering results working with a diverse team.
