Position Summary

To help lead the Corporate Logistics & Transportation Department with implementing transportation strategies, leveraging technology tools, and collaborating across teams to solve complex transportation challenges.

Responsibilities

Position will directly report to the manager - North America Logistics & Transportation. This position will have frequent global interaction with all levels of Parker employees, suppliers and customers for air, ocean and international shipments.

Spend: This role manages $100 million in spend

Your Role

Lead logistics support for assigned groups and divisions, ensuring alignment with Parker's overall Win Strategy
Manage transportation activities across multiple modes internationally, overseeing a freight spend exceeding $100M
Manage and resolve any logistics issues or invoicing requests for international providers
Administer the outsourced freight payment program for assigned groups and transportation modes
Support freight audit, payment, and reporting processes, internationally
Drive the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the global Transportation Management System (TMS)
Lead transportation technology initiatives, including NMFC, SMC3, and API integrations
Conduct benchmarking studies using leading industry tools (e.g. Drewry, Xeneta) to optimize transportation performance
Support the pricing negotiations for international freight contracts
Manage and contribute to various logistics projects and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (BA) in Supply Chain Management or related field, Advanced degree (MBA preferred)
3 years of progressive experience in transportation or logistics within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
Demonstrated ability to exceed performance expectations and deliver results
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Proven negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools such as Power BI
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Self-starter with strong initiative, assertiveness, and a customer-focused mindset
Collaborative team player with experience working in a matrixed organizational structure
Preferred: Industry certifications such as APICS, CSCMP, or equivalent
