Machinist

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

About the Opportunity

We are a small, established machine shop looking for a seasoned manual machinist who takes pride in doing things right. This role is well-suited for a retired machinist, veteran, or highly experienced tradesperson who wants flexible work, steady projects, and a shop that respects experience and judgment.

There are no production quotas, no forced overtime, and no corporate red tape — just quality machining and realistic timelines.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and run manual engine lathes and horizontal boring mills
• Machine one-off and short-run parts
• Work from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions
• Make tooling and process decisions independently
• Inspect your own work and hold tight tolerances
• Keep equipment and workspace clean and safe

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive hands-on experience with manual lathes and/or HBMs
• Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
• Pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Dependable and professional
