Wastewater Preventative Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Mentor, Ohio
Hours: Full time (may include overtime, rotating schedules, weekends and holidays)
Pay: $28.48-$40.00

POSITION SUMMARY
The Wastewater Preventative Maintenance Supervisor oversees preventative maintenance operations for buildings, structures, and process equipment at a wastewater treatment facility. The position manages maintenance staff, coordinates preventative maintenance schedules, and ensures equipment, machinery, and facilities remain in safe and reliable operating condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise daily preventative maintenance operations and maintenance staff.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate maintenance activities and staff assignments.
  • Prioritize and schedule preventative, corrective, and grounds maintenance work.
  • Maintain records of plant equipment maintenance schedules, inspections, and reconciliation reports.
  • Troubleshoot plant equipment and machinery operating conditions.
  • Ensure equipment, machinery, and structures remain in good operating condition to minimize failures and maintain productivity.
  • Order parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to maintain adequate inventory.
  • Train employees on maintenance procedures, safe work practices, and operational protocols.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new employees and conduct internal training sessions on updated maintenance procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to pass required drug screening.
  • Supervisory experience in maintenance operations.
  • Experience performing and overseeing preventative maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ability to perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, and mechanical repairs.
  • Experience using maintenance tools, equipment, and modifying parts when needed.
  • Ability to maintain records, inspection logs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with contractors, consultants, and internal staff.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and oversee daily work assignments.
  • Leadership ability including coaching, mentoring, and managing staff.
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and solve complex operational issues.
  • Professional customer service and communication skills.
