Duties: Lead in requirement gathering, literature review, scientific merit evaluation, project planning, and project management. Use digital health technologies to improve healthcare for pediatric patients. Design and conduct user research studies, including usability testing, focus groups, surveys, interviews, and other user-centered research methodologies in VR/AR environments. Conduct co-design sessions to obtain user feedback and collaborate with developers to ensure that user insights are integrated into content design and development. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and synthesize research findings into actionable insights that inform design decisions. Communicate research findings to stakeholders and the broader audience through written reports, presentations, manuscripts, and grant proposals. Stay up to date with emerging VR/AR technologies, trends, and best practices in UX research and design. Seek collaboration and apply for grant funding that align with our project portfolios capabilities and strategic directions. Work closely with technical staff and other project team members to integrate technical and scientific approaches seamlessly.
Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. in Communication and Media Studies, Psychology, Design Research, Computer Science, Healthcare, or related field, plus 1 year of professional experience, including 1 year of research experience in user experience (UX) studies; and 1 scientific publication and 1 grant proposal writing required. May work from any location in the Columbus, Ohio area subject to company remote work policy.
