CNC Machinist

About the Opportunity

We are a small, established machine shop under new ownership  looking for an experienced CNC machinist with  Haas vertical machining center  setup and operating experience. This role is ideal for a machinist who takes pride in quality work and wants a flexible schedule.

There are no production quotas, no forced overtime, and no corporate red tape — just quality machining and realistic timelines.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate Haas CNC vertical machining centers
• Perform setups including tool changes, offsets, and workholding
• Machine one-off and short-run parts
• Read and interpret blueprints and job instructions
• Make minor program edits at the machine when needed
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Maintain quality standards and tight tolerances
• Keep machines and work areas clean and organized

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with Haas CNC mills (setup and operation)
• Ability to make minor program adjustments at the machine
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and tolerances
• Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate measurements
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
