As a Machinist

Be required to complete a machining function from start to finish. You will load fixtures/parts onto the machine, indicate them round and flat to the machine surface. Set tools and generate offsets. Be responsible for recording dimensions throughout the machining process.

What you'll do:

Machine products to tight tolerances
Reads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed
Verifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers
Computes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work pieces
Adjusts and sets up machine tools for use by machining tool operators
Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements
Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality
Compute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy
Observing all applicable safety practices
Carries out other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

3 or more years of experience as a Machinist including operating lathes or mills.
3 or more years of experience reading/interpreting manuals and technical drawings, utilizing hands tools, and working with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers).
3 or more years of experience with manual machine tools operations.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
Ability to stand for 5 plus hours at a time
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Desired Skills

Preferred CNC or Manual Machinist Certification

VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experience

High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision
