The Franklin County Auditor’s Office is seeking an Application Developer to join the IT team.

What will you do?
Develops web applications for internal and external use (e.g., gathers and analyzes application requirements from coworkers; writes and tests server-side code; writes and tests client-side code, etc.); develops software for data transformation and integration purposes; creates and maintains automated ETL procedures; creates and maintains desktop applications, primarily in .NET.
Generates reports against databases including gathering report requirements from requesters and coworkers, writing SQL code for Microsoft SQL Server and balancing reports against other data sources to ensure accuracy; compiles and prepares reports for business analysis purposes; analyzes requirements from coworkers for reports and software development; works with team members on various projects to reach the goals of the IT department.
Maintains existing source codes and deploys incremental improvements and bug fixes.
Leads application support and troubleshooting as required.
Analyzes data in order to assist business units in troubleshooting inconsistent data.
Who should apply?
We encourage individuals with working experience with SQL Server administration, SSIS, SQL, T-SQL, ETL, XML and IIS administration; experience with modern client-side web application technologies, including HTML5, CSS3; working experience with .NET and Java script; Entity Framework, React, GraphQL, APIs, and Python experience is a plus; experience with version control (E.g.: GitHub, Microsoft TFS, etc.); demonstrated skill and understanding of Microsoft SQL Server including writing SQL queries, creating views and stored procedures, and integrating those databases into web based applications; possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information management systems, or related discipline; three (3) or more years of application development related experience and/or training; or any combination of training, education, or experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
