Job Description

Position Purpose:

Use required pneumatic/hand tools to assemble product per Company and customer specifications. Understand associated parts, such as beams, air springs, axles, hubs, and frame brackets and their relationship to the end product. Must be able to facilitate all aspects of the assembly process.

Essential Functions:


* Assemble, package and paint components for semi-trailer suspension systems.
* Accurately report daily activities on work orders and Kan Ban cards and other media as required. Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
* Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
* Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
* Exercise safe working habits while operating machines.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Education and Training


* High School Diploma/GED required.
* Prior production assembly experience, 1-2 yrs. preferred
Minimum Qualifications


* Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications.
* Ability to work overtime, as production demands require.
* Must be able to utilize torque wrenches according to specs.
* Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment
* Must follow all safety practices and policies.
Physical Demands


* Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp
* Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching
* Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
* Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
Environmental Conditions


* Non-temperature controlled manufacturing facility
* Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection
