Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Technician in Milford, OH

As a Lab Technician you will:

Key Responsibilities
Perform analytical testing using techniques such as:
* Infrared Spectroscopy (IR).
* Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) spectroscopy.
* Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC).
* Gas Chromatography (GC).
* Titrations and other wet chemistry methods.
* Prepare samples, standards, calibration curves, and reagents following established procedures.
* Analyze and interpret data with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Document all analytical results in laboratory notebooks or LIMS.
* Follow written test methods, SOPs, and safety procedures consistently.
* Prioritize daily tasks to meet testing deadlines and project schedules.
* Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
* Collaborate with team members and communicate test status clearly.

Qualifications
* Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, or related field; or equivalent laboratory experience (0-3 years).
* Basic understanding of chemical principles and common analytical techniques.
* Experience with IR, ICP, GPC, GC, or titrations (coursework or internship acceptable) preferred.
* Ability to follow detailed procedures and work with minimal supervision after training.
* Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
* Commitment to safe laboratory practices and compliance with EH&S guidelines.

Work Environment
* Laboratory-based position requiring appropriate PPE.
* May involve standing for extended periods, working with chemicals, and using analytical instrumentation.
* Previous lab work or analytical testing is a plus.

This is a Contract full time opportunity.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
