Position Description: The Team Leader – paint lab is responsible for completing the processing of paint requirements provided by plant supervision. This includes coordinating production documents, lab requests for paint, label requests, and coordinating additional personnel with plant supervision to complete work in a timely manner.
Areas of Responsibility include:
- Receipt of and review of paint requests associated with weekly production schedules.
- Coordination with other plant operational groups to ensure timely shipment of orders.
- Completion of “lab sheet” job package for accurate inventory control transactions.
- Assist with the processing of Sage data entry for all items produced in areas of responsibility.
- Purchase materials as required to support on-going operations
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Completing production as directed by lab sheets.
- Completing daily requirements for labeling products to support production operations.
- Reviewing daily required materials including bulk products and labels to support production of current schedule.
- Review and provide input for plant planning activities as needed to support sales order processing to meet delivery expectations.
- Following all precautionary statements and use proper personnel protective equipment when called out by Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or other approved documentation.
- Following all Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) procedures and policies established by the company.
- Complying with all rules, procedures, and policies concerning the safe operation of equipment.
- Reporting any safety, quality, or regulatory concerns to management or HR immediately.
- Continually reviewing work processes and providing recommendations for improvements to management.
- Providing support to other manufacturing or warehousing efforts as required.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to review and coordinate lab documents into completed products for packaging.
- Capable of running and processing materials using appropriate equipment to complete production requirements.
- Capable of following instructions to complete job requirements.
- Usage of computer system for processing production documents to support production operations.
Physical Demands: The Team Leader – paint lab will be required to stand 7-8 hours daily and will also be required to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
Work Environment: The position will work in a high bay aerosol production facility, and may be required to wear appropriate protective equipment as required to complete daily tasks.
