Position Responsibilities for Prevention Specialist:
- Plans and develops alcohol and other drug prevention and intervention services including groups and didactic presentations
- Implements alcohol and other drug prevention and intervention services in accordance with generally accepted, results-oriented prevention practice
- Provides training for professionals regarding alcohol and other drug use, abuse and dependency which reflect the generally held view of the agency
- Carries out, in a timely manner, reporting, tracking and program evaluation as needed to document services, satisfy funders, measure effectiveness and as assigned by supervisor or administrator
- Develops positive, productive working relationships with consumers in order to maintain and improve quality services for the community and carry out the mission of Clermont Recovery Center

Position Requirements for Prevention Specialist:
- Associate's degree in Human Service related field or two years related experience preferred
- Must be willing to obtain Prevention Credentials, obtaining an RA within the first 3 months then working towards an OCPSA
- Some knowledge of human development, educational activities, substance abuse and mental health issues
- Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to work well with all levels of colleagues
