REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 3/20/26-6/22/26. Must agree to 36 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 2 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 50 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen, criminal background check.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Plant watermelon, peppers, cantaloupe and strawberries; laying and pulling plastic, and field care. Field care tie plants, stake plants, prune plants, clean drip emitters and microjets, remove plastic drip lines, remove dead plants, and weed removal. Workers will walk along rows as specified by employer and remove weeds and grass from fields by hand or using a hoe. Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Drug testing and background checks may occur during the interview process and will be conducted at the sole expense and discretion of the employer. Must be able to lift 50lbs. to shoulder height repetitively throughout the workday and able to lift and carry 50lbs. in field. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
