Senior Center Service Coordinator

SCOPE, Windbrook 

Shift Worker, 12 Hours/Week 

$11.00/Hour 

Schedule:   Determined on a case by case basis 

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assists the Center Manager in assigned county(s) with the daily operation of the Senior Service Center. 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Provides information over the telephone regarding referrals, registration for activities, etc.

2. Assists with classes/programs, as well as arranges for class instructors and Bingo callers.

3. Accounts for money earned and makes deposits to appropriate accounts as needed.

4. Assists with fund-raising activities for center.

5. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/ certification/ registry requirements.

6. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to work effectively with seniors and youth. This includes being skilled in computers to assist online with information and referral needs. 

2. Ability to work as a team member, model open communication, fair and equitable treatment, and manage conflicts.

3. Experience in effectively utilizing community resources.

4. Must have reliable transportation, valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability if applicable.

5. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation). 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent. Computer skills including word, and excel. 

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Working with senior citizens or youth preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting up to 25 pounds of equipment and supplies.
