RMS of Ohio has openings for a DSP position for our Adult Day Support program and residential settings at our Lima location. Our DSPs are also referred to as Support Associates.

Position Overview: Our Support Associates (DSPs) are responsible for providing supervision, support and assistance to consumers (individuals) as prescribed within the Individual Service Plan/Individual Program Plan to increase independence and quality of life.

Our DSP (or Adult Day Support Associate) is responsible for supervision, training and assistance to participants of RMS day program. Services are to be provided within the scope of the Individual's Service Plan (ISP) with the goal of increasing independence and/or improving the quality of life.

Schedule: Day Program location is a part-time position for day shift that works Monday to Friday. This position has no weekend shifts.

Starting wage: $16.85 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
• Day shift
• 25-35 hours a week

*Residential position will have hours that vary during first and second shift.  Locations are in Allen County.

Position Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. We work exclusively for adults with I/DD living community-based housing. Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, clean background check

The preferred candidate should be flexible, organized and a self-starter. Current CPR/FA, Medication Administration is a plus, however we will offer training to the selected candidates. Ability to maintain CPR and First Aid certification. A High School diploma or GED is preferred. Current valid driver’s license, automobile insurance meeting Ohio’s minimum standards and a clean background check.
