Residential Specialist (Full Time 2nd & 3rd /Part Time - All Shifts)

We are currently hiring for Full Time and Part Time Residential Specialists for our Ranch of Opportunity facility. The Ranch of Opportunity offers a peaceful, spacious, and healthy environment for girls aged 13 to 17 that have experienced trauma to live, learn, and grow in a residential treatment program. Our mission is to create new chances, new choices, and new hope for traumatized children and their families by breaking the vicious cycle of child abuse and addressing the self-destructive behaviors brought on by experiencing severe trauma in childhood.

Job responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this position is to work with adolescents who have experienced a high prevalence of traumatic events. Will also be responsible for the overall implementation of policies and procedures while providing quality, effective, and efficient therapeutic interventions and for the direct sight and sound supervision of the clients while in treatment.

Other:

• Caring and empathetic person. Preferred: Knowledge of children who have experienced complex traumas, mental health and substance abuse issues.
• This position requires candidates to pass Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training, which requires individuals to be physically capable of sustained, intense exertion. May not have a physical disability or condition that would prevent one from participating in the physical restraint techniques and exercises (such as dropping repeatedly to knees, supporting another adult's weight, twisting and turning.
