REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 05/18/2026-10/30/2026. Must agree to work Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day, Sat & Sun, 4 hours. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. Must read, and agree to, all terms and conditions of employment prior to a referral to the employer.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 75 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.
Worker must possess the physical strength and endurance (ability to continue or last) to repeat the harvest process though out the workday, working quickly and skillfully to perform activities assigned during that activity. Workers must work at a sustained (continuing for an extended period of time without interruption), vigorous pace (quick and steady) and make bona fide efforts (made in earnest intent) to work efficiently (performing or functions in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort) and consistently (same way for a long time) that are reasonable under the climatic and other working conditions, Workers may not leave trash, or other discarded items in work areas or vehicles but must dispose of such items in provided receptacles. Workers must wash hands with soap and water after all bathroom and meal breaks. Allergies to varieties of ragweed, goldenrod, insecticides, related agricultural chemicals, etc., may affect worker’s ability to perform the work described herein.
Sanitation Requirements: For food and general personal safety purposes, all workers will be required and expected to follow common sanitary practices at all times. This is particularly critical when hand harvesting crops for human consumption. Employees are required to cleanse their hands by washing them thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before entering the fields for harvest activities or the packing facility for packing operations.
Crops: Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, Peppers, Potatoes, Onions, Cabbage, Pumpkins, Squash, Cucumbers, Pickles, Garlic, String Beans, Red Beets, Hay, Straw, Blueberries, Shrubs, Firewood and ornamental corn.
Workers will NOT work with field crops (e.g.: Field Corn, Soybeans, Small Grains). Workers will not work in combining.
Vegetables: Workers will plant, cultivate, and harvest crops named in this job order. Workers may be responsible for preparation of field beds, assisting in installation of drip irrigation and black plastic. Workers may be required to start seedlings in an environmentally controlled structure. Worker may also prepare the fields for planting. This could include removing sticks, rocks, and other debris prior to disking fields. Workers will be required to remove weeds by hand or with a hoe. Workers will bend and stoop to pick vegetables according to size, color, shape and degree of maturity and place into field containers. Workers may carry full container weighing approximately fifty (50) lbs. and empty into field bin or load onto trailer. May be required to pull and discard culls as directed by supervisor. Workers may also assist with chemical spraying when/if needed. Pickers will take care not to bruise or scar produce. Pre-harvest activities may include staking, tying, transplanting, and pruning. Workers will stand on feet for long periods of time. Workers are required to work in fields when plants are wet with dew or rain. Temperatures in fields during working hours can range from below forty (40) to over one hundred (100) degrees.
Support jobs include bin and pallet repair and after-hours cleanup.
Hay & Straw: Workers must load hay bales weighting up to 60 lbs. from farm to tractor-trailers via a conveyor. Stacks hay on conveyor and restack in trailer according to instructions. Hay harvested is dropped at end of conveyor. Using hay hooks, worker places bales on conveyor while other workers in the barn stack hay in hay/mow according to direction. Hay and straw harvested averages about 2500 bales per day.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
