A manufacturing company is seeking a strong CNC Programmer who will set-up, operate, and program their new Brother CNC Mill Machine. Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Friday as needed.
Job Duties:
- Program, set-up, and operate computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision metal
- Write and test programs, make adjustments as needed, ensure the machine operates correctly, and parts are cut to perfection
- Translate prints and specifications into computer-readable instructions for the machine
- Set up the machine with correct tooling, materials, and parameters
- Operate the machine, monitor machine during operation, and ensure it adheres to the programmed instructions
- Ensure the finished parts meet quality standards, inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications, and report any discrepancies
- Aid in making machine fixtures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Must have 1 to 3 years of CNC programming and operation experience
- Must have a mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working with tools, and have a good understanding of how the machine works
- Must have the ability to read and interpret detailed prints to understand the required specifications and dimensions of the parts
- Must be able to hand, load, and unload raw materials from the machines
- Must have a strong understanding of machine tools, programming languages, and the principles of machining
- Must have strong critical thinking skills in order to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical and programming issues that arise during operation
- Must be computer literate and able to programs and control machines
