Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing job training, employment placement, and support services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. With a focus on empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and inclusion in the community, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been serving the Greater Cincinnati area for over 100 years.


The Housing Resource Navigator supports individuals after initial housing assistance has been provided, focusing on long-term stability and connection to resources that promote self-sufficiency. This role works closely with participants to ensure they remain engaged in services that strengthen income, access to benefits, and overall household stability.

With a strong understanding of both internal programs and community-based resources, the Housing Resource Navigator connects individuals to Workforce Development, TANF, childcare services, and other supports that address barriers to long-term housing success. This position provides ongoing follow-up at 60 days, 90 days, and six months to monitor progress, re-engage services when needed, and ensure sustained housing outcomes.

This role plays a critical part in moving individuals beyond crisis stabilization toward lasting independence.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred (or   equivalent experience) 

· Minimum 1–2 years of experience in case management, housing stability, or community-based  services 

· Knowledge of public benefits (including TANF), childcare systems, workforce programs, and    community resources preferred 

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation


QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

· Strong knowledge of community resources and public assistance systems 

· Ability to support individuals in achieving long-term stability and self-sufficiency 

· Strong relationship-building and engagement skills 

· Ability to monitor progress and provide ongoing support over time 

· Excellent communication and active listening skills 

· Strong organizational skills and ability to track follow-up timelines 

· Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners 

· Proficiency in data systems (CaseWorthy, HMIS/Clarity preferred) 

· Commitment to Goodwill’s mission, values, and fundamentals


ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

· Receive referrals from Eviction Prevention Specialists following initial assistance 

· Engage participants in a stabilization plan focused on long-term housing success 

· Connect individuals to internal services, including Workforce Development, TANF, and childcare  resources 

· Provide referrals to external community resources that support income growth, health, and     stability 

· Build relationships with participants to encourage ongoing engagement in services 

· Conduct structured follow-ups at 60 days, 90 days, and six months to assess progress and     address barriers 

· Re-engage individuals with services as needed to prevent future housing instability 

· Track outcomes related to employment, income, service engagement, and housing stability 

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in CaseWorthy and/or HMIS systems 

· Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to ensure coordinated service delivery

PERODICAL DUTIES:

· Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and cross-department collaboration 

· Support outreach and relationship-building with community partners and service providers 

· Stay informed on available resources, eligibility requirements, and program updates 

· Assist with data tracking and reporting related to follow-ups and long-term outcomes 

· Attend training related to housing stability, workforce systems, and supportive services
