Summary of Position
Teaches courses in the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program in Information Technology at Steubenville location which is a part of the department of Computer Science, Information & Engineering Technology. Teaches a range of undergraduate courses that may include operating systems, web technologies, programming, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and other related courses. Contributes primarily to teaching and student success, including course delivery, curriculum development & support, and continued growth and quality of the IT AAS program. Teaches applied and hands-on computing topics such as programming, system configuration, networking, databases, and cybersecurity in classroom and labs.
Faculty members are expected to maintain a consistent, in-person presence on location throughout the standard workweek. This includes being available on-site each day to support students, collaborate with colleagues, and participate fully in the academic life of the institution. Regular on site engagement during normal business hours is an essential component of this role.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.

Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications: A master’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a closely related field OR a master’s degree in another field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in computing, information technology, or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated knowledge and technical competence to teach in at least three of the following areas: programming (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or similar languages); web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web frameworks); computer networks; databases; cybersecurity; computer hardware; or operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching college-level courses in programming, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web frameworks), networking, operating systems, databases, cybersecurity, computer hardware. Industry certifications (CISCO CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Oracle Database Foundations). Industry experience in information technology, programming, web technologies, (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web frameworks), databases, networking, cybersecurity, or software development. Effective communication and collaboration. Commitment to student-centered teaching and continuous improvement.
