About Us: Lorain Injury Center is a rehab-based chiropractic clinic that specializes in auto accidents, worker's compensation injuries, and a wide variety of other injuries. The clinic offers conservative chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, and boasts a large network of referring providers.

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to support our workers' compensation cases by coordinating medical and administrative aspects of auto accident and injured worker claims. This is a non-clinical role focused on administrative tasks, patient scheduling, third party correspondence, communication, and process facilitation.

Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently using electronic scheduling systems
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Send and receive fax transmissions, including medical records, referrals, and prescriptions
- Coordinate patient care by communicating with providers, specialists, labs, pharmacies, and insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with pre-authorizations when needed
- Greet patients and handle check-in/check-out procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and office files
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
- Assist with billing questions and basic administrative tasks
- Ensure the office environment remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or medical office training preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in a medical office, dental office, or similar healthcare setting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Proficient in using phone systems, fax machines, and electronic health record (EHR) software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, compassionate demeanor with a strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) is a plus
- Knowledge of workers' compensation terminology, processes, and Ohio-specific regulations is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Reliable transportation
Preferred (but not required)
- Certification in medical terminology, workers' comp claims, or related areas.
- Familiarity with Ohio BWC rules and common platforms
- Bilingual- Spanish

Work Schedule:
- Full-time position (32-38 hours per week)
- Typical clinic hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday-Thursday and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday's
