Job Title: Sourcing and Compliance Specialist

Position Summary
The Sourcing and Compliance Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure organizational sourcing needs are met while maintaining compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and compliance standards. The Specialist collaborates with internal teams and external suppliers to optimize sourcing strategies, mitigate risk, and support operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on capability, pricing, reliability, and compliance.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to internal policies and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to support collaboration and continuous improvement.
Sourcing Management
- Manage procurement activities from requisition through purchase order issuance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve cost savings and improve terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Administer and manage supplier scorecard processes.
Compliance Oversight
- Ensure sourcing and procurement activities comply with internal procedures and applicable regulations.
- Develop and support compliance programs and training for procurement staff and suppliers.
- Stay current on industry regulations and best practices to mitigate supplier‑related risks.
- Support sourcing‑related audit requirements as needed.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate supplier records, contract documentation, and compliance files.
- Analyze sourcing and procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports on supplier performance, compliance status, and procurement metrics.
- Conduct market research and support outreach efforts to promote small business participation.
- Maintain records of outreach, training, and supplier engagement activities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with departments such as production, quality assurance, and finance to align sourcing strategies with organizational objectives.
- Participate in cross‑functional teams supporting new product development and strategic initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to sourcing and procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in professional networks and industry forums to remain informed of emerging trends and best practices.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Skills and Competencies

Anticipated Salary Range: $72,000 – $94,000 annually (Cleveland, OH)
