Responsibilities and Duties
- Support Classroom Activities: Assist in planning and conducting creative, educational, and play-based activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Child Supervision and Behavior Management : Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors. Assist in managing group behavior and encouraging positive interactions among children using appropriate techniques.
- Personal Care: Support children with daily routines such as meals, diapering, potty training, and handwashing while promoting independence.
- Classroom Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.
- Parent Communication: Provide courteous and professional updates to parents as needed under the direction of the Lead Teacher.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff members to ensure smooth daily operations and a cohesive learning environment.
- Compliance: Adhere to all state childcare regulations and center policies, including safety, health, and confidentiality standards.
Position Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-1 year of experience working with children in a child care setting
-A warm, caring and nurturing individual who has experience working with children in a formal group setting.
-Experience with Creative Curriculum and SUTQ a plus
-Flexibility, energy, with an ability to multi-task, plan, organize, and problem solve
-Strong communication and people skills; ability to work in team environment
-All positions require background screening and medical clearance
-Must be able to lift and carry child up to 45 lbs
-Preferable experience in Early Childhood, Lesson planning, and continuous daily interaction with children
Starting Salary: $15-$17 per hour
