No weekends, No holidays, No evenings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Ohio Driver’s License and a minimum of five years driving experience.
- Ability to maintain a good rapport with the general public, especially the elderly and people with disabilities.
- Possess functional knowledge of the demographics of the service area and the ability to read street and road maps and find unfamiliar locations.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and random alcohol and drug testing.
- Must be able to clearly read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be free of disqualifying offenses per criminal background check.
- Must be free of physical or mental condition that would impair the ability to perform the job.
- Dress in accordance with prescribed Council on Aging dress code.
- Maintain strong attendance record.
- Follow company safety and operational policies and procedures.
- Ability to work under stress and meet strict timelines.
- Willingness to drive in challenging weather conditions.
- Willingness to drive out of county and in congested urban traffic.
- Driving record
- Free of the following offenses:
- Driving While Intoxicated
- Driving Under the Influence
- Reckless Driving Offenses
- Railroad Crossing Violations
- Leaving the scene of accident
- With no more than one in the last three years
- Moving violation, or
- No fault accident
- No suspension or revoked license within the past ten years for
- Moving violations, or
- Violations of criminal law
- Any combination of violations, unfavorable road observations or accidents that indicates a pattern of unsafe vehicle operation behavior
This position is classified as safety-sensitive and the employee filling this position will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing as defined in the Drug and Alcohol Policy adopted by the Crawford County Council on Aging, Inc. for the transit system. The purpose of this policy is to comply with all Federal regulations governing workplace anti-drug programs in the transit industry:

DRIVER DUTIES:
- Drive vehicle to scheduled locations on driver’s schedule provided by the Crawford County Council on Aging.
- Assist riders on and off vehicle.
- Assist riders with packages and grocery bags.
- Report to office as to any operational or maintenance requirements relating to vehicle such as gas, oil, need for repairs, etc.
- Keep records relating to driving and passenger services.
- Keep records of any unusual incidents occurring in relation to use of vehicle on accident forms.
- Such other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle inside and out.
