SUMMARY:
The Excavating Laborer will assist with various labor-related tasks including, but not limited to, excavation, backfilling/compaction, hand-digging with a shovel, underground utilities and road clean up.
JOB DUTIES:
Checks daily assignments and coordinates with crew Supervisor
Trenching, waterline, and sewer line installation, foundations
Assists with excavation needs which could include the digging of holes and trenches
Cleans up job sites
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
With proper previous training and/or experience – operates various excavation equipment including mini-excavators, backhoes, drilling/boring machines, jackhammers, and concrete saws
With valid driver’s license and good driving record, may drive various company vehicles on occasion
Performs other duties, as needed and when assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years’ experience preferred
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; must provide own transportation to shop or work site each day (having your own vehicle is essential)
Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight (8) hours each day
DETAILS:
· Monday-Friday
· 1st Shift (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
WAGE: Will depend on experience
