Under supervision direction, the counselor/therapist/social worker provides diagnostic assessments, individual counseling, assesses, counsels, facilitates education and therapy groups, provides crisis intervention, monitors and coordinates treatment services for clients with a substance use disorder and those with a co-occurring mental health disorder, chemically dependent and mental health clients at the agency. The counselor works with a multi-disciplinary team to assess appropriate levels of care, to ensure referrals to the correct services are made, and establish a seamless system of care.

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree Required, Minimum of a bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 2 years of SUD and/or MH Counseling.

Licensure Requirement: Licensed Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, LCDC II or LCDC III, (LISW, LSW, MFT, IMFT, LPC, LPCC, LICDC, LCDCIII or LCDCII
