Production Operator - Paint Processor - Specialty Coatings in Huron, OH
Starting pay: $21.86
A tiered pay progression system is used for this position until reaching the maximum per the policy.
Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 3 p.m. - 1 a.m.

As a Production Operator - Paint Processor, you will be part of a team that works together to manufacture quality paints, stains and other materials. As a key associate on our manufacturing team you will be working with a variety of equipment and materials to complete your daily tasks. Everyday brings an opportunity for you to succeed!
Key Responsibilities May Include
- Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices.
- Work in a PSM (Process Safety Management) facility which includes solvent-borne and water-borne materials.
- Frequent use of a powered industrial truck (PIT) to stage, add, or put away raw materials or other items.
- Follow formula specific instructions while ensuring the correct material, at the correct amount, is being added to mixing vessels.
- Maintain accurate records throughout the batch process, (e.g. temperature, mix speeds, blade levels, mix times, etc.).
- Perform quality inspections where indicated during manufacturing to ensure the batch is progressing as expected.
- Move material between tanks or other vessels using transfer hoses and pumps.
- Communicate issues in the department or with equipment to management or maintenance personnel.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and at the expected standard.
- Active participation in Continuous Improvement efforts throughout the plant.
- Other tasks as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to work in an environment with ambient temperature variation.
- Able to understand and follow instructions or operating procedures in English.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs multiple times per shift.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including hard hat, FR uniform, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and other task‑specific protective gear.
- Ability to ascend stairs and stand for extended periods while working.
- Basic computer skills for interacting with software programs.
