Shift/Hours: Days | PRN Requirement work 36 hours is a six-week schedule
* Up to 4 Saturday shifts and 2 on-call Saturdays per year (based on seniority)

About the ProgramThe Outpatient Blood & Cancer Clinic is part of the nationally ranked Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute, a national leader in pediatric cancer and blood disorder care.
We provide specialized treatment for children and adolescents with complex cancer, hematologic, and immune disorders, including sickle cell disease, hemophilia, immunodeficiencies, and rare conditions. Services include Blood & Marrow Transplant, Leukemia/Lymphoma, Neuro-Oncology, Hemoglobinopathy, Immunology, Long-Term Follow-Up, and more.
Position Summary
The RN delivers relationship-based, high-acuity outpatient care to pediatric patients receiving ongoing treatment and monitoring. This role supports both clinic and day hospital operations, with orientation to procedural/PACU responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct nursing care in clinic and day hospital settings
* Administer medications, blood products, chemotherapy (per competency), and infusion therapies
* Perform assessments, triage, and symptom management
* Educate patients and families on diagnosis and care plans
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
* Support procedural services and maintain accurate EMR documentation
* Participate in quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications
* Active RN license (Ohio or compact state)
* Minimum 3 years inpatient nursing experience required
* BSN preferred
* BLS required
* Pediatric, oncology, infusion, or outpatient experience preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Compliance - Patient Services Staff - Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Support leadership in Compliance efforts to meet and sustain the regulatory compliance efforts of the department and hospital. Be mindful and judicious in monitoring safety and departmental policies and procedures. Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely basis. Work with department managers, nurse council and magnet representatives to identify and share safety best practices. Be mindful of CCHMCs processes and compliance with CMS standards and freely communicate safety and compliance concerns to leadership team members.
* Interprofessional Practice - Demonstrates consistent integration of the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) in all aspects of practice.
