MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have any combination of training and work experience, which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary to perform this job. Child support program experience, intergovernmental knowledge and college coursework preferred but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, and SharePoint). Exceptional customer service skills and ability to respectfully respond to customer frustrations. Ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks/projects. Must be adaptable and willing to work in a team environment.
OBJECTIVE: Primary duties of this position: Responsible for the Administrative process of establishment of paternity and child support cases.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary duties include:
Conducting enforcement activity and investigations on cases pursuant to IV-D program regulations. This includes but is not limited to investigations, location efforts, referrals to the Prosecutor, and other enforcement processes. Reviews caseload and identifies cases needing action. Contacts obligors regarding support obligations. Communicates with case participants, the courts, employers, and other enforcement-related contacts.
Responsible for representing CSEA at routine court hearings and testifying at grand jury and criminal proceedings. Audits cases for court and testifies as to agency's records. Audits financial documents, processes withholdings, conducts terminations, to ensure prompt and correct support payments. Completes related summaries, reports, and documents.
The employee must possess the skills and ability to cope with diverse environments, health hazards and personal safety issues, including aggressive behaviors
PAY RANGE BASED ON QUAILIFICATIONS: $18.80 to $23.98 per hour, based on experience
