REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 4/6/26-11/10/26. Must agree to 40 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 2 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 70 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Workers will perform general orchard, field, and farm labor including care of young and mature fruit trees; planting, transplanting, pruning, thinning, grafting, training, tying, mulching, trunk painting, weeding, wildlife deterrence, and debris and rock removal; installation, maintenance, and removal of trellis, irrigation, fencing, and farm infrastructure; general property maintenance and cleanup; loading, unloading, placing, cleaning, building, and repairing pallet containers; production tracking and labeling; and operation of hand tools, power tools, tractors, forklifts, and other farm equipment as directed. Workers will hand-harvest apples, asparagus, cherries, and peaches according to quality standards using buckets, bags, carts, and ladders. If worker is eligible to drive under Michigan law and provides proof of no infractions from official source, Employer may require worker to safely drive in Employer-provided vehicle to and from the worksite. To be eligible for driving job, worker must understand and agree to driving rules. Pay Rate will be hourly for all job duties except Apple, Asparagus and Peach harvest will be paid by piece rate. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
