Job description:

Medical 3rd party Debt Collection Specialist and Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus. We are looking for Medical Collectors.

We are only going to review and respond if you have some medical background in collections and/or customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Communicate with consumer and business accounts by telephone and approved communication methods for resolution of delinquent accounts.
  • Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate account updates on computer files for each call made or received.
  • Counsel delinquent account holders in finding funds to meet their payment obligations.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
  • Continuing education and training of federal and state laws, client contract changes; The Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and Cyber Security.
  • Create and manage a pipeline of PPA accounts and conduct follow up on them.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company and client policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of departmental and company policies and procedures
  • Provide feedback to management concerning areas of improvement.
  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Skip Tracing accounts using approved systems and methods.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of collection experience or customer service in the medical field.
  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Attorney General collection experience is a plus.

  • 8-hour shift with scheduling flexibility (primarily first shift)
