RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICIAN
We are looking for experienced Electricians and technicians to undertake a variety of tasks relating to installing and maintaining electrical systems in residential homes throughout Central Ohio and surrounding areas. Your job will involve installing and servicing electrical panels, wiring, lighting, outlets, switches, and home electrical systems in both new construction and existing residences.
We also provide services including troubleshooting electrical issues, resolving outages, upgrading service panels, and installing backup generators and home distribution systems. Due to the high level of responsibility associated with this role, electricians must be safety-focused individuals with strong attention to detail and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with residential electrical systems and devices, with knowledge of home power distribution and backup systems considered a plus. The goal is to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems in residential properties while minimizing hazards and maximizing functionality.
Responsibilities
- Execute plans for residential electrical wiring for lighting, outlets, appliances, and home power distribution systems
- Install and connect wiring in electrical circuits, breaker panels, and household systems, ensuring compatibility and code compliance
- Install and assemble conduit, cable runs, and residential wiring systems in walls, attics, crawl spaces, and underground applications
- Perform troubleshooting to identify electrical issues, hazards, or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged components
- Upgrade and maintain service panels, breakers, and home electrical infrastructure
Skills
- Experience in residential electrical systems (new construction and/or service work)
- Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, pullers, crimping devices, voltage and mega ohm meters, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures, codes, and regulations including NEC
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Reliable transportation to the office (company vans provided for job sites)
