HX5 is currently seeking a Configuration and Data Manager supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Human Systems Division (AFLCMC/WNU) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform Configuration Data Management tasks including Configuration Identification, Configuration Control and Configuration Status Accounting.
- Maintain consistency between a product’s performance, functional, and physical characteristics and its documented lifecycle requirements.
- Track and manage Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables using govt databases and identify all relevant sources and uses of configuration management data. Ensure data is suitable for SVRs, FCAs, and PCAs, and help perform these audits.
- Support the Government in resolving conflicting engineering change proposal recommendations. Provide findings and recommendations on sustainment and supportability impacts of proposed changes
- Review ECPs, CCPs, and RFDs for proper format and content, and assist in resolving issues between the Government and contractors. Help plan, prepare, and document CCB meetings while tracking approved changes through implementation
- Review hardware and software specifications, engineering drawings, and ensure accurate documentation and marking of Configuration Items (CIs)
- Support configuration status accounting by determining database requirements, monitoring data inputs, and tracking the configuration of fielded systems. Monitor updates to configuration documentation and baseline status
Education and Experience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
- OR bachelor’s degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
- OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
