Ohio Wesleyan University, a selective, private, undergraduate liberal arts, residential institution founded in 1842 and located just 20 miles north of Columbus, is seeking candidates for the position of The Graduate Assistant (GA) with OMSA The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs.
This is a TEMPORARY 3 TO 5 WEEK POSITION WITHOUT BENEFITS.
Job Summary:
The Graduate Assistant (GA) serves as an imperative staff member of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) includes the Women's Resource Center, Spectrum (LGBTQIA+), Global Majority initiatives, and support 1st Generation students. While the position will vary based on the needs and the GA's professional development, the primary areas of responsibility include: assisting with the implementation of the Summer Bridge Program; developing programs and workshops; student/staff development and training, and assisting with marketing and communications for the center's social media platforms.

Position Appointment Dates and Compensation
· June 8, 2026 -August 18, 2026 - dates can be negotiated
· GA and the Director will establish in advance a work schedule that includes both set office hours and 'as needed' hours to total approximately 35 hours per week. This will include a flex-based schedule to incorporate the need for weekend and after business hours based on programmatic needs.
Compensation
· Furnished private room (includes free utilities, laundry internet, phone, and basic cable service)
· The GA receives a stipend totaling $5,000 to be disbursed, in parts, throughout the summer
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· 40% - Summer Bridge Program
· 15% - Marketing and Communication
· 15% - Other Duties as Assigned
· 10% - Center Programming Development and Training
· 10% - Administrative Duties
· 10% - Staff Supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
· Candidate pursuing a Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
