The Position (Summary):
The Mechanical Assembler 3 (Temporary) will be responsible for expert-level assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and repair of complex mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with current engineering configurations. Work includes new product assembly, refurbished components/assemblies, testing, engineering prototype development, and building maintenance.
Minimum Essential Requirements:
* Independently lead the assembly of sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and systems per manufacturing drawings, Bill of Materials, schematics, and instructions
* Expert level proficiency operating and selecting appropriate hand tools and small power tools with a full understanding of their use and function
* Advanced knowledge using precision measuring tools and full understanding required fitments/tolerances
* Expert knowledge of pneumatic schematics, symbols, and plumbing
* Strong working knowledge of water/hydraulic schematics, symbols, and plumbing
* Perform detailed inspections of all work before passing it on to the next operation
* Lead troubleshooting efforts on assemblies down to individual component level to determine root cause of failure and collaborate with engineering to find corrective action
* Perform required repairs/refurbishments to return assembly to operational state
* Proactively keep supervisor informed of all potential issues for quick resolution
* Provide advanced support to the production supervisor on all production assignments, mentor lower-level assemblers, and work with other departments regarding special
