Volt is immediately hiring Welder in West Chester, OH
As a Welder, you will:
* Be responsible for performing specialty MIG welding tasks on spool pieces, flanges, and carbon steel pipe outlets.
* Be responsible for inspecting completed welds for defects, including alignment of fittings, groove depth, and seam integrity.
* Be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe welding station while adhering to safety and quality standards.
* Be responsible for reporting equipment malfunctions and safety issues requiring repair.
* Be responsible for completing general reading, writing, and computer-based training (Workday platform).
This is a full time, Contract opportunity.
The Ideal candidate will have:
* 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
* Good with accurately read and use a tape measure.
* Minimum 1 year of computer experience, including Outlook/email.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
* Basic literacy and computer skills to complete online training.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
* Prior experience welding spool pieces, flanges, and carbon steel pipe.
* Familiarity with defect inspection techniques (alignment, groove depth, seam checks).
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
