Description of Position
The ideal candidate would coordinate activities to ensure goals are accomplished within the plan time and with knowledge in successful problem solving. Candidate must be willing to perform the following functions:
- Support field operations through pickup and delivery of small tools, traffic control items and construction materials to job sites.
- Assist in maintaining shop facilities.
- Operate company vehicles, including but not limited to 3500 pick-up truck.
- Assist skilled construction workers in performing their assigned tasks by completing a variety of duties, including general labor (i.e. grass mowing, truck washing, etc.)
- Assist with inventory of small tools, traffic control items and construction materials. Inform management when inventory levels fall below minimum quantities
- Operate forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment or materials.
- Abide by all traffic rules and regulations while driving in a safe and cautious manner.
- Must be able to hitch trailer to truck when transporting equipment and supplies.
- Apply skill in maneuvering vehicles in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways, difficult weather conditions
- Regular attendance is required for the position.
The ideal candidate would benefit, as well as the company, if they hold the following skill sets:
- CDL Class A is a big plus.
- Previous experience in construction work and driving a truck preferred.
- Skid steer experience preferred.
- Valid Ohio driver's license.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds to pull and apply rotation force on stationary and moveable objects.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, management and outside vendors.
Full-Time / 1st Shift
$20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
Position includes 401K with Company Match and one week paid vacation, after one year, and two weeks after two years (2nd week used during off-season). Also after one year, you’ll be eligible for a Safety Eligible Bonus, based on 6 calendar months of consecutive time without a loss time/dollar incident. Health & Wellness as part of wage package.
