Quality Systems Manager


Job Description:

Quality Systems Managerpositions offered by Dana Light Axle Manufacturing, LLC (Toledo, Ohio). Analyze data to find areas of process improvement (Pareto, PDCA/PDSA, Core and Quality tools). Train, motivate, coach, and correct employees to ensure that standards are met. Implement quality systems with special emphasis on achieving and maintaining IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certifications. Monitor and maintain IATF Quality Operating System requirements. Coordinate quality management metrics including but not limited to preventative and corrective actions and PPAPs for current and new customer programs. Support Advanced Product Quality Process (APQP/PPAP). Track and maintain quality-related metrics for reporting both to external and internal customers.

Minimum Requirements:

·        Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Technology Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or a related technical field and 2 years of experience working with quality systems. In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree and 2 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and experience as stated.

 

·        Experience must include:

o  Working with STLA customer specific requirements and supplier portal applications;

o  Managing a complete Quality system for an IATF 16949 automotive plant;

o  Performing special process audits and mass production process audits;

o  Applying AIAG CQI standards, including Welding CQI-15 and Coating CQI-12;

o  Working with Quality System tools, including DOE, FMEA, PPAP, GR&R, QFD, SPC, and MSA, ISO/IATF;

o  Creating and updating FMEA and Control Plans;

o  Developing and implementing corrective actions to production line and updating Layered Process Audtis (LPAs) as required;

o  Supporting scrap reduction projects;

o  Assessing process with Reverse FMEA activities;

o  Identifying warranty issues and developing and supporting corrective actions;

o  Interacting with customer application or product engineers;

o  Supporting production part approval process (PPAP) and evaluation of supplier PPAP’s;

o  Working with CMM and related Metrology labs;

o  Working with GD&T;

o  Using Minitab for GR&R and MSA; and

o  Working with manufacturing plant processes and systems.

 

·        Must be certified in IATF 16949.

 

·        Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
