Job Description: Midlands Technologies Inc. in Canton, OH, is hiring a full-time Electrician.

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing and installing electrical systems for various commercial and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and technical specifications, contributing to the seamless operation of our projects. Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical wiring, fixtures and systems for commercial and industrial environments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical plans.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical installations.
  • Conduct testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality.
  • Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and electrical codes for all installations.
  • Work on low voltage and high voltage systems with strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with fabricators, assemblers and other trades to coordinate project timelines and requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial work as it relates to electrical installations.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams for complex electrical systems.
  • Ability to operate various hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) safely.
  • Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage wiring practices in accordance with NEC standards.
  • Familiarity with testing instruments such as ohmmeters and ammeters for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Experience working in commercial sites with a focus on safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

Details: Full time. First Shift (6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). 40 hours/week. Monday through Thursday (occasional overtime Friday and Saturday). $26.00/hour to $34.60/hour (based on experience). Bonuses available.

 

Qualifications: High school diploma / GED. Must have at least 5 years of experience. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Driver’s License Requirement(s): Must have a valid driver’s license.
