Job Description: Midlands Technologies Inc. in Canton, OH, is hiring a full-time Fabricator.

 

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies that meet strict industry standards. Your expertise in various fabrication techniques, welding processes and blueprint interpretation will be essential to delivering exceptional products efficiently and safely. Duties:

  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components.
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines and machining equipment to cut, shape and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques to join metals securely according to ASME codes and standards.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy of fabricated parts.
  • Execute pipe threading, frame/guard manufacturing and assembly of mechanical components with rigging and mechanical knowledge.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction site practices, crane operation, forklift handling and power tool usage.
  • Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving plasma cutting, press brake operations, machining, soldering and assembly tasks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background with hands-on fabrication skills.
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding methods.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with calipers, tape measures, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines and other fabrication equipment.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes and standards for welding and fabrication processes.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, rigging procedures and assembly techniques.
  • Sheet metal experience a plus.
  • Machining experience a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a construction or manufacturing environment.

Details: Full time. First Shift (6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). 40 hours/week. Monday through Thursday (occasional overtime Friday and Saturday). $22.97/hour to $28.00/hour (based on experience). Bonuses available.

 

Qualifications: High school diploma / GED. Must have at least 5 years of experience. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Driver’s License Requirement(s): Must have a valid driver’s license.
