HR/Office Manager – Job Description

Summary/Objective:

The human resource manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. Office manager is responsible for overall front office activities. Responsible to make arrangements for office meetings, guest visits, and all employee activities (cook-outs, Christmas party)

Essential Functions:

·       Manage daily cash flow activities and bank reconciliations, including positive pay, generation of weekly reports. 

·       Supervises and coordinates overall administrative and maintenance activities for the office

·       Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machine, etc.

·       Works directly with vendors and customers on terms, payments, pricing, etc.

·       Monitors the performance evaluation program.

·       Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.

·       Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors employee relations counseling, writes and places advertisements.

·       Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains company and employee directory.

·       Performs other incidental and related duties such as accident reports, write-ups.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 40 pounds.
