Position Overview
Vertiv is seeking a seasoned Logistics Manager to lead Inbound International Transportation across the Americas. This role requires full ownership of global Ocean and Air freight operations, including international carriers, customs compliance, and cross-border logistics supporting a manufacturing supply chain environment.
This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role responsible for global transportation strategy, cost management, service optimization, and carrier performance. Candidates must have proven international logistics expertise and a track record of managing complex inbound supply chains in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead international inbound transportation strategy across Ocean (FCL/LCL) and Air freight.
* Manage global carriers, customs compliance, and cross-border logistics for North America.
* Own freight spend, OTIF, transit times, capacity planning, and carrier performance KPIs.
* Ensure uninterrupted material flow to manufacturing sites, aligning with production schedules.
* Manage and govern 3PL providers, including QBRs, SLAs, scorecards, and performance improvement initiatives.
* Partner with Logistics Procurement on carrier sourcing strategy and cost optimization.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging analytics, TMS, ERP, and AI-enabled tools.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Manufacturing teams.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
* 5-7+ years of progressive logistics/transportation leadership experience.
* Direct responsibility for international inbound freight into North America.
* Proven ownership of both Ocean and Air freight operations.
* Experience supporting manufacturing operations, including production schedules, material flow, and supply chain continuity.
* 3PL management experience with carrier governance, QBRs, and performance metrics.
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field.
* Candidates must have full international logistics experience; partial or domestic-only experience does not meet the requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
* Lean or Six Sigma certification.
* Experience with Oracle TMS, WMS, and ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
* Control tower and AI-driven logistics analytics experience.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish).
