We are a family-owned and operated precision machining company located in Mentor, proudly serving our customers with high-quality machined components for many years. Our team values craftsmanship, reliability, and treating employees like part of the family.

We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Milling Setup Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our CNC milling machines are set up correctly and ready to produce precision parts efficiently and consistently.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Set up CNC milling machines for production runs according to setup sheets and blueprints
  • Install and align vises, fixtures, and workholding devices
  • Load and verify CNC programs and make minor adjustments when necessary
  • Install and set tooling, including tool length offsets and wear offsets
  • Establish work coordinates and verify proper machine setup
  • Perform first-piece inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot machining issues such as chatter, tool wear, or dimensional inaccuracies
  • Work closely with operators and supervisors to maintain production flow
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of CNC milling setup or advanced machining experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc CNC ControlHaas CNC Control, or similar systems
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and indicators
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical or trade school training in machining or manufacturing
  • Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360
  • Experience with multi-axis milling is a plus
