Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Machine Operator to oversee the operation, maintenance, and efficiency of our production equipment. This role ensures all departmental work orders are completed, equipment is properly maintained, and team members are trained on machine operation and preventive maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, including:
- Tape machine
- Labeling robot
- Two chocolate bar wrapping machines
- Set up machines for production runs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) handbooks
- Train and mentor machine operators on proper procedures and safety standards
- Ensure all work orders are completed accurately and on time
- Oversee cleanliness and maintenance practices of machines and workspace
- Conduct routine inspections and evaluate equipment efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Perform basic repairs using hand tools
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of mechanical systems and processes
- Leadership and training experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
Compensation
- Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
- Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule
- 1st Shift / Morning shift
- Overtime available
- Weekend work as needed
